Anny says about her own work :
I previously used photography as a record for ideas to inspire future paintings, drawings and etchings, however after commencing multimedia and photo media studies my approach to photography changed greatly.
Photography started to be used as a final expression to my art and not just as a study or recording tool.
The main approach that I like to use when developing photographic projects are usually based on the exploration of dreams, fantasy and narrative.
Either working in the studio environment or on location, I enjoy the construction of the image to convey the feeling of being carried out of the real world.
I usually use paintings, drawings, etchings, sculptures, movies, graphic novels, children books and high fashion photographers as inspiration during my research time.
I then develop a specific customised approach to the actual photo shoot and post production based on my intended outcome.
